Chaitrali Kale is a licensed Attorney in California.
She works in the Commercial, Trademark, and Privacy Group at Inventus Law. At Inventus, she drafts commercial agreements, advises on complying with privacy and data protection laws, and provides support on various intellectual property matters. She is trained in three legal systems, the Indian, British and American and is passionate about helping clients navigate cross-border legal and business issues.
Prior to joining Inventus Law, Chaitrali worked at an international intellectual property law firm advising on intellectual property law issues in SE Asia, Russia and China. Outside of work, Chaitrali believes in assisting indigent clients and has undertaken a number of pro bono projects. In the U.K., she worked for the Innocence Project to reverse wrongful convictions and at a Legal Aid Clinic in London. In California, she volunteered at a Public Defender’s office to assist incarcerated individuals with release and rehabilitation.
Chaitrali holds a Bachelor of Social Legal Sciences from I.L.S. Law College, India, and received her LL.B. (J.D. equivalent) degree from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. She received an LL.M. with a distinction in Intellectual Property and Information Law from King’s College London United Kingdom. Her LL.M. dissertation was based on U.K. and EU data privacy laws focusing on the newly introduced GDPR. Chaitrali received her LL.M. in Media, Entertainment, Technology Law and Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Chaitrali enjoys listening to podcasts and experimenting with new cuisines. She is also fluent in Hindi and Marathi and knows conversational French, German and Bengali.
