Alan Haus has deep experience in virtually every phase of start-up company representation, from company founding to M&A exit. He is thus outside general counsel to many privately held companies. He is a specialist in intellectual property and employment laws. His industry specialties are in consumer products, education, entertainment, software, publishing, video games, and of course e-commerce. He is a strategic advisor to clients throughout the online world. Alan is a former Chair of the California State Bar Trademark Committee. He is a member of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw) and currently serves on ITechLaw’s Intellectual Property Committee.
Alan holds a BA degree from Wesleyan University, a JD from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (Hastings College of the Law), where he was a published member of Hastings Law Journal, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley Haas School of Business. He also holds dual citizenship in the US and in the European Union.
